Augustana Quilters is an opportunity to provide service by putting together quilts for Lutheran World Relief and Lutheran Family Services. The regular meeting date is the third Tuesday of the month at 9 AM, August through May. Midmorning we stop for coffee and treats and a prayer service for strength and healing. Members regularly sew, tie quilts, cut squares, and press fabric between sessions. The assembling and pinning are not difficult and we “tie” rather than “quilt” so it’s not complicated. If you would like to visit and learn more about the Augustana Quilters, please join us anytime.
Please think of us when you are cleaning out your linen closets as we use sheets and lightweight blankets - even the stained and the thinner ones as they can go in the middle. We also welcome donations of washable fabric and thread.
